I'm just being Honest

I often hear this phrase. It sounds like it has an obvious meaning. However I find it most often represents a lack of courage or the right kind of courage to act on some conviction. What's missing behind that comment is emotional intensity to overcome habitual procrastination to what is best, not simply rational. I mean by rational the easy way that seems to make sense even though there is a better way. Honesty is not always accuracy. Pour out your heart where someone can encourage you with the right kind of courage that I call inspiration.

No longer relying on "just being honest" removes the need to say "I was only joking", when you weren't, after seeing how you hurt someone or yourself by what was said. What is the answer then? Pour out your heart and listen as you do. What you hear will become strength and loving rather than weak and brutally honest. Psalm 62:8,11-12

The Past

This should energize the present making our presence a gift.

Legalism

Not! Not! joke.

Doubt, is it True?

What is doubt about?

It feels round about.

Do I doubt myself?

Put myself on the shelf?

Do I cast my shadow

a bit more shallow?

Creating a fallow

where growth has

 something to follow.

What seems true about you

may be less true than is true.

Doubting one's wisdom is

to hear the voice that is true.

Truth, too good not to be true,

you can truly know through

which you truly know you.

Goodness

Mercy received that is sensitive, intensive, and comprehensive. Psalm 142:7

Frustration

Delayed gratitude. Blocked is wisdom's ability to generate the patience needed. Patience perceives rightly. Frustration is the result of untrained force. Proverbs 16:32

Bustin Loose

Coming out of the walls of the cave to move under the shadow of a wing. From self imposed isolation to freedom from self-protection and self-preservation. Re-serve without reservation. Psalm 91:1-2

Defensive

The refusal to allow a personal problem to be processed by dialogue. Emotional abandonment demanding perfection.

Wisdom Heals the Rash

In troubled matters at hand, one matter will always rise slowly so the wisdom of the wise can arise and undeceive the madder. The hearts of those madder can then matter enough to act soberly with the rash. Listen for the uprising. James 1:5

Suspicion

The bear of neglect.

Hidden Strengths

Felt as hidden faults . Held as shameful secrets. When healing removes the shame, the hidden strengths are empowered and one never feels the same. Friendly fire. Shame retired. Once removed , can be kissed away. Emotions no longer need to be manipulated, Joy revealed. Signed and sealed.
